Nike’s “Star Treatment Experience” Was Out of This World!!

In my six years of operating as the CEO and Creative Director for COSIGN Magazine, I’ve experienced some pretty cool things working with elite brands. But, after my experience with NIKE Dallas at The Star In Frisco, “The Star Treatment Experience” catapulted to number one on my littiest moments ever. Not only does “The Star In Frisco” serve as the Dallas Cowboys practice facility, but it’s also the official Dallas Cowboys HQ and hosts an exclusive partnership with NIKE.

I arrived at the “secret” Nike Dallas office in Frisco around 9:30 a.m., and was the second person in attendance, arriving shortly after the photographer for the day. For the next hour, our team of influencers and bloggers sprinkled in and we all greeted each other, shared a little bit about ourselves and were ready to take on the day. We were led by Heidi and Rollo, both amazing and knowledgeable Nike employees. Nike arranged a decked out official Dallas Cowboys bus for us, worthy of Jerry Jones himself, and we were transported to The Star in Frisco in style. On the bus, we all sat in the back sharing Nike stories. It was as if we  were suddenly a family, everyone was bonding and genuinely enjoying each others presence. Rollo told us a few stories about Jerry Jones and how Michael Jordan ended up staying with Nike after his first deal.

Upon arrival at The Star, we were greeted by Nike staff with fresh smoothies that they had prepared for us. What a treat! I had the Berry Blend which definitely hit the spot. During our brief walk to the official Nike shop, we took a pit stop by a really cool Nike LED Display for a couple of photos and a group selfie.

Now this is where the real fun began. We spent about 10 minutes walking around the Nike shop where I purchased a “State of Savages” shirt that’s now one of my top 5 shirts ever. Nike gifted us with one of their hyper local shirts (customized with our Instagram handle on the back) in which they only printed 214, and once they sell out, that’s it. (Dallas, 214, get it?) So yes, I will be one of the 214 people who will have the Nike “No Place Like Home” tee. Thanks again, Nike.

From there we headed to watch the Cowboys practice and we caught a glimpse of some of the Cowboys’ star players; Dez Bryant, Dak Prescott, and many others. After leaving the practice, it was time to dine in style. We were treated to lunch at “Neighborhood Services,” located at the Omni Hotel which is short walking distance from The Star. Lunch was amazing, I highly recommend and #COSIGN the fish tacos and be sure to wash it down with an Arnold Palmer, the perfect mix of iced tea and lemonade.

We followed up lunch with an official tour of The Star, which was perfect to walk off our meals. We viewed official scouting reports of Troy Aikman and Emmitt Smith, got up close and personal with all of the Cowboys Super bowl trophies and rings, and even got a photo opp on the same podium that Coach Jason Garrett hosts his press conferences. VIP is an understatement.

Now this is where Nike decided to blow our minds. We were all given the opportunity to partake in cryotherapy, which was a great but freezing experience. I’d definitely do it again though. There were some precautions that we had to take, including making sure we were completely dry, had no jewelry below our neck, and we had to wear gloves, socks, and slippers, all of which they provided.

Following Cryotherapy, Rollo and Heidi instructed us to check out our locker rooms and that we were in for a surprise. I didn’t know what to expect, but they definitely exceeded any expectations I could’ve had. We were gifted Nike shoes, socks and apparel. I received the all black Nike Metcon 3’s, Nike training tights and shorts and a dry fit Nike shirt, and we’ll be posting an outfit guide to the Nike apparel this upcoming week on COSIGNMag.com. Once we were all dressed, we were guided upstairs to view the Cowboys Fit training facility, which is a state of the art gym located in The Star and is open to the general public. And guess what? Memberships are less than $100, so you can train like a Cowboy, where the Cowboys train, all for an amazing price. What a deal!

We also got to take advantage of Cowboy Fit training services, as we got to put our Nike gear to use and train with a certified trainer on the Cowboys official training field. But before we event got to step on the field, we were surprised with another gift; personalized Nike Alpha Menace Elite cleats, customized by Dallas artist SourGrapes. These are the exact same cleats Nike created for Russell Wilson of the Seattle Seahawks. After we Snapchatted and Instagramed the cleats, it was time to train. We worked on agility and ran routes, working up a great sweat. Kudos to the trainer, it was a great and tiring experience. I felt like Dez Bryant catching those passes.

Cowboys Fit also has an amazing recovery program which includes cryotherapy (as I mentioned before) and a massage system, which we all tried after training. I recommend the massage beds, I almost hit REM sleep.

I must say I definitely #COSIGN “The Star Treatment Experience” and recommend everyone in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area to take a trip to The Star in Frisco. This facility legitimately has something for everyone. The Nike store carries gear that you can’t get anywhere else in the world, the Cowboy Fit center is one of the best training centers open to the public at an affordable cost, and the entire venue is Cowboys history. I’m sure this won’t be our last time going, plus there’s a lot more Texas based Nike gear that I need to go back and purchase.

Thanks again to our NIKE family for having us out and treating us like VIPs. We look forward to next time. View more photos from our experience below along with a teaser clip of Nike’s “Who You With” campaign video! #COSIGNLife #NikeDallas
