This past Thursday DJ ASAP, “Young Mix GOD” and Bella Nae hosted their TRIPLE D, charity concert at House of Blues. K.G., Parris, and Brea were there in full effect to witness this successful event. The night kicked off with B. Hardy performing and from their it was hit after hit, artist after artist. Some of the industry people present were Maybach Music’s own, DJ Bay Bay, Mr. Lucci, Ace Mitch, Tum Tum, Dorrough Music, Fat Pimp, B. Hamp, Treal Lee & Prince Rick, Que P, Double A, S.Fresh, Keith Jacobs, Digital Exec Merk, Yung Nation, DJ Drop, and many more. While in the mix K.G. got to interview a couple artists and find out what Christmas presents they always wanted growing up, and what the holidays and their success means to them. GROWING UP WHAT WAS ONE TOY THAT YOU ALWAYS WANTED, BUT NEVER GOT FOR CHRISTMAS?

DORROUGH MUSIC: I would probably have to say a go kart, I always wanted a go kart for Christmas, but never got it. But, now maybe this Christmas I think I’ll get my newphew one.

HOW DO YOU FEEL DURING THE HOLIDAYS NOW THAT YOU’RE A PLATINUM SELLING ARTIST?

DORROUGH MUSIC: I’m still working. I’m no where near where I’m trying to be, but I’m still learning a lot and trying to get more experience. Ya feel me?

GROWING UP WHAT WAS ONE TOY THAT YOU ALWAYS WANTED, BUT NEVER GOT FOR CHRISTMAS?

Tum Tum: [laughs] I can’t even say man cause I had a granny who would spoil me. So, if my momma couldn’t come through with it, my granny would. [laughs] I wasn’t really no dirt bike/go-kart dude like Dorrough. But, I remember I asked for a heavy bag, I ain’t get it right then, I got it at like 15,16, but yea the heavy bag. So that was cool.

SO HOW DO YOU FEEL RIGHT NOW THAT YOU’RE LIVING YOUR DREAMS OF BEING AN ARTIST?

Tum Tum: I mean its cool doing what we doing now, but we can always DO BETTER!!  That’s what 2013 is about. DOING BETTER, DOING IT BIGGER, RIDING BETTER, SMOKING BETTER, ALL THAT!! JUST TRYING TO DO IT BETTER!! #YEAHDOE

Ace Mitch: Man, I wanted this lil sewer and the Ninja Turtle van. NINJA TURTLES ALLDAY!! My momma never came through though, I just had all the action figures you know what I’m saying. [laughs]

Que P: Man I wanted some Jordan’s dog. But, we were like bread and peanut butter in the hood so I couldn’t get the Jordan’s you know what I’m saying? But, now I make sure I get all the Jordan’s that come out, hopefully. But, yea Jordan’s is really what I wanted. Everything else I got!
