#A3C15 Recap
Just a week removed from A3C 2015, and I think the withdrawals are over. I’ve been going through a pile of business cards I had received over that weekend in Atlanta, making phone calls, sending emails and texts. All while the daily grind of being back home has been smacking me in the face, trying to get me to come to. I still want to go to a bunch of shows on weekday nights, and drink and have a good time though.
I enjoyed the 2013 and 2014 A3Cs, and this year was no different. I’ve always been a fan of going to live shows, seeing my favorite artists and being exposed to new ones. I don’t ever see as many shows as I would like, but I never leave disappointed. I did catch sets by Rakim, Beanie Sigel, Cam’Ron, Dee-1, Starlito, Sy Ari Da Kid, Jean Grae, Big K.R.I.T., Playa Fly, and quite a few others though. But this year I spent a good deal of time at the panels, and watching the interviews/conversations with artists (i.e. Jeezy, Ryan Leslie, etc.) and meeting people. A3C is always an experience and I recommend anyone that is either pursuing a career in music or just a hip-hop fan to attend. (On a side note, Dallas travels well. I saw at least two dozen of my fellow Dallasites at the event, so I never feel like I’m too far from home.)
I have more than enough new music to hold me down for a while, and I think I have made some great connections that will better COSIGN (and myself, professionally). It’s almost like it has become the unofficial end of summer for me; that plane ride home to Texas from Georgia. So until next October…
