Wherever there’s a brand, you can almost bet that there’s a celebrity brand ambassador somewhere on their payroll. The reveal that Zoë Kravitz is now partnering with YSL to become their new muse, is one of the more recent deals that we’re now looking forward to.

In case you aren’t familiar, Zoë, is an indie actress/singer, who just so happens to also be the daughter of the greatness that is, Lenny Kravitz. She starred in last year’s blockbuster Mad Max: Fury Road, stars in the Divergent series, modeled for Calvin Klein with her beautiful mom, Lisa Bonet, she walked the runway for Balenciaga and is now going to be the face of YSL’s beauty line.

Beginning in May, YSL Beauty is teaming up with Kravitz on a social media collaboration, where Zoë will dish out some of her favorite beauty tips & tricks through the brand’s channels as well as her personal media outlets. If you caught a glimpse of her look this past Monday at the Met Gala, then you know she’s got plenty good tips to share.

“YSL has always been one of my favorite brands. Their ability to combine the chicest of style with a raw edge has always been to me one of the best ways to express yourself through fashion and beauty. Nothing is forced, nothing is fake, but everything is bold, strong, and unafraid,” said Kravitz in an official statement, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

I think Kravitz brings a certain freshness to any brand so I’m excited to see how this partnership blossoms. As part of the collaboration, Kravitz will also star in the cosmetic brand’s new video, “Before the Light.” The project, which will be filmed in Los Angeles on May 5th, “will showcase the transformative power of makeup for up-and-coming musicians around the world.”
