Twin Shadow, Jagwar Ma, Shy Girls, and Bagheera
Daily Showcases March 12 – 15 at The Belmont
AUSTIN, TEXAS (February 20, 2014) — Red Bull Sound Select Presents: 4 Days In Austin announcing performances by Twin Shadow and Jagwar Ma as well as Red Bull Sound Select artists Shy Girls and Bagheera on Thursday, March 13. This show will continue the series of music showcases pairing emerging Red Bull Sound Select artists with established talent at The Belmont in Austin March 12-15. All shows are free with RSVP at win.gs/4DaysInAustin.
Night two of 4 Days In Austin consists of performances from Twin Shadow and Australia’s Jagwar Ma. Also taking the stage are Red Bull Sound Select artists Bagheera, the brainchild of Aidan Kennedy blending the sounds of chill wave, house and disco, and soulful minimalist pop outfit Shy Girls.
These artists follow the newly released Day 1 lineup, which includes Earl Sweatshirt along with Sound Select artists Lil Herb, Denitia and Sene, and Thurz.
Red Bull Sound Select is an artist development program that leverages events, digital partners, custom analytics and other tools to help break emerging artists. In 2013 Red Bull Sound Select worked with top tastemakers to produce over 80 local shows in 11 cities, putting 150+ emerging artists alongside major headliners. Red Bull Sound Select has more than 144 shows planned for 2014 in the U.S. with more to come.
Last year’s Red Bull Sound Select Austin music showcase included a lineup of both well-known acts and emerging artists, and included The Smashing Pumpkins, Best Coast, Chance The Rapper, Beach Party, Geto Boys, The Black Cadillacs, The Sour Notes, and many more.
