Prime Prep Academy will host their 2nd Annual Basketball Season Kick-off benefiting the Truth Organization
Dallas, TX October 4, 2012– There is no better way to entertain a crowd of sports enthusiasts in the Dallas/Fort Worth area than to unite them for the 2nd Annual Prime Prep Basketball kick-off with some of the best in youth basketball. The renowned Prime Prep Academy will commence the basketball season with its much anticipated event of the year. Founded by NFL legend and Hall of Famer Deion Sanders, the school’s basketball team will showcase their talents in front of their families and peers in addition to several professional athletes. Prime Prep Academy’s Basketball Season Kick-Off will take place from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Friday, October 18, at Mountain View College which is located at 4849 W. Illinois Ave. in Dallas, TX.
Prime Prep Academy was founded on the basis of offering an enhanced educational environment for underserved youth in order to make a lasting impact on their lives. Deion Sanders felt the vision to permanently transform the lives of these communities and inspire them through the art of education and sports. The unique aspect of Prime Prep Academy is that students can equally experience a premier football, baseball, and basketball program while maintaining a high quality educational experience. Proceeds from this event will help raise money for TRUTH Sports, our registered 501(c)3. TRUTH Sports supports hundreds of youth in select sports (Football, Basketball, Baseball, Track & Field and Soccer), as well as established mentorship programs.
In addition to the basketball kick-off game, there will be appearances by various celebrities from the music industry such as Dorrough, Ashley Kimbrae, and Follow Official; former and current NFL & NBA Players. DJ Duffey will be in the mix and K104’s very own DJ Bay Bay will be on the mic to guarantee an amped crowd.
