Music Shines in Hard Rock Casino’s Music Amenity Program
A privilege given to guests of the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino gives indie artists a chance to shine.
There are very few casinos in the world that have achieved what the renowned Hard Rock Hotel & Casino brand has: a distinct image and style, that’s been carried into all of their hotels across the world. Hard Rock’s status as one of the greatest odes to rock ‘n’ roll has allowed it to be a haven for musicians everywhere, and the brand trudges on, with locations in North America, Asia, Europe, the Caribbean, and even Africa.
But as with any other industry, competition is fierce in the congested casino market. As more regions begin to look into the possibility of offering casino resorts and online gambling, large casino operators have begun breaking ground in previously unexplored markets. Recently, they’ve taken a keen interest in music through million-dollar sponsorships of music fests, which has been one of the most lucrative investments for land-based operators since the 1996 launch of InterCasino, the pioneer of online gambling. While the franchise is already distinguished for celebrating rock music, the Hard Rock take their music advocacy further with a privilege that allows their guests to live the life of a rockstar.
The Sound of Your Stay offers three options to choose from: Picks, Mix, and Tracks.
Picks
With Picks, guests are given the option to have one of 20 Fender electric guitars delivered to their rooms, along with Nixon headphones and a Fender Mustang floor amplifier. But that’s not all – even inexperienced musicians or those who just want to learn to play the guitar can have fun with this feature, as the hotel also provides in-room video tutorials so you can make the most of Picks.
Mix
Those who are more inclined to the EDM movement can also enjoy The Sound of Your Stay, as the Mix option lets you be your own personal DJ. It boasts of being “the total DJ package”, giving guests access to a Traktor Kontrol Z1 controller and a laptop that’s integrated with the room’s surround sound system. Just as with Picks, the package also includes video lessons that you can enjoy from the comfort of your room.
Tracks
For those who just want to listen to some great tunes, Hard Rock also offers the Tracks package, which lets guests listen to set playlists arranged by two of the greatest labels in music today: Sony/ATV and Nettwerk Music Group, one of the most influential indie labels in the industry, home to names like The 1975 and Bombay Bicycle Club.
“Music is the single strand of DNA that runs through everything we do at Hard Rock, it is a universal language that resonates with everyone,” said Matthew Watts, Director of Music and Marketing at Hard Rock Hotels & Casinos. “By partnering with wildly differentiating, yet renowned names within the music industry, we are able to showcase a variety of musical styles, connecting guests with the ever-evolving lifeline of our brand – music – while continuing to amplify our signature music amenity program.”
Because of the program, indie artists don’t just get to explore their own talents, they can also listen to some like-minded individuals, and guests of Hard Rock have the chance to not just explore music in all its various forms, but create it as well.
