Neon Desert was the two-day music festival hosted by ScoreMore, located in the heart of downtown El Paso this past Memorial Day weekend. The four main stages were spread out amongst a large intersection, including a silent disco sponsored by Gecu, where participants’ entire music experience was through a pair of headphones. From local El Paso artists and DJ’s to headliners, Future and Carnage, the energy was never less than stoked amongst the crowd. Total attendance for the weekend reached a staggering 32,000 people. Besides the constant rotation of live artists throughout the day, attendees were provided with loads of activities. Whataburger had an area set up for people to play games and win prizes like bags and necklaces. Puff Hookah had a lounge set up for people to relax and enjoy. One street was full of artists painting live work and a mini skate park was even set up for Crooks’ sponsored riders to skate and show off their talent. Jarritos’ was giving out free samples of its flavored soda and there was a variety of food trucks and stands. The final four acts of day one (Tyler the Creator, Future, Deftones and Carnage) brought out loads of people that filled the streets surrounding the stages. Carnage’s special guest ended up being MadeInTyo, who preformed his hit, Über Everywhere, and warmed up the crowd for Carnage’s final set of the night. Trill Sammy and DiceSoHo were even brought out at one point to perform some of their music and hype the crowd for their performance the following evening. Day one of Neon Desert was full of amazing performances and tons of all day entertainment! Day two brought on another load of awesome artists such as Tory Lanez, Ludacris and Tiësto. Earlier performance, Trill Sammy and DiceSoHo, drew out a fairly large crowd and popular artists like Daddy Yankee and Natalia Lafourcade attracted locals and made for an even bigger turnout the second day. There was a lot of suspense for Tiësto’s final set, but with the cannons of confetti and body-shaking bass, he didn’t disappoint. Our in-house photographer, Gavin Lueking, covered the entire weekend’s activities and performances, all photos were shot by him. Thank you to ScoreMore and all the other sponsors for making this weekend possible, can’t wait to see what Neon Desert holds next year! #COSIGNLife
