Dominique, better known as “Dominae”, Harris is the key ingredient that some of our favorite girl acts used to be made of; She’s got the vocals, the look, and the moves – add it up and she’s easily the Aaliyah, the Destiny’s Child, the Janet Jack, the… well, you get the picture. Babygirl is IT!
The Dallas, Texas native has been dancing since the age of 3 and is now a professionally trained ballerina. Outside of ballet she’s also classically trained in African dance, Hip-Hop, Tap, Jazz, and Modern. She’s had the privilege to have worked with the legendary, Debbie Allen as a dance student and graduated with High Honors from Booker T Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts.
After graduation, LA was the move and Dominae went on to attend the American Music and Dramatic Academy. While pursuing her craft in a new location, along came new endeavors and music was added to her already established portfolio. After countless studio sessions and solidifying her sound, Dominae was discovered by the queen herself, T-Boz, of one of the ultimate girl acts, TLC. Her captivating personality, solid dance abilities and strong vocals drew T-Boz to sign Dominae to a girl group that she then was working with. Although the group has since dismantled, T-Boz continues to work on Dominae’s solo career, on her label: iCraft Music Group.
Today, you can listen to Dominae’s latest EP, Watch, on all major streaming platforms and keep up with her on social media at @dominaemusic. Her blend of R&B melodies accompanied with trap beats are drawing in her fanbase, with songs like Daytona, Game Over and Hold my Breath. Since the release of “Watch”, Dominae’s buzz continues to grow and grow, and while she may be flattered by some of the comparisons that are being made to her and some of the legendary acts that have come before her (like TLC – ironic, huh?), the petite powerhouse is well on her way to making a name for herself in the industry.
