Tell us a little about how you get ready for a photo shoot:
I like to wake up early on the day of a photo shoot and do some cardio and have a good meal. I usually pack all my looks for the shoot the night before, in a suitcase, so the day of my shoot I am all packed and ready.
What inspired your outfits for this shoot?
I wanted to keep the outfits simple since the graffiti is really the star of the show. I have been wanting to shoot in Bushwick [Brooklyn, NY] for a while and I know @thompsonlxs_ would be the perfect photographer. We have worked together in the past and he really takes dope photos.
How would you describe your style?
Sexy/Classy. I like attention and I am comfortable in my body so I like to show it off. I spent many years covering myself up and worrying about what other people would think if I dressed too sexy. God gave me these natural curves and I have finally embraced them.
What is the best part about modeling?
[The best thing about modeling is] meeting fun and exciting people. I don’t think anyone who is in the industry is really here for the money. You have to truly love it because it is an everyday hustle. I tell everyone I feel like it is Christmas morning opening presents when a photographer sends me edits.
What was different about this shoot?
This shoot is special to me because this location is in my town. I can say this is my city; I live here and look at this amazing art in my backyard. I am inspired every day. Maybe I am different but I like to be a part of the whole process from styling the shoot, to picking the locations, sometime down to editing the photos. Maybe it is the control freak in me but I won’t put out work I am not passionate about. I hope you enjoyed my photo shoot. Thank you, COSIGN, for publishing my work.
