COSIGN Her: Amber Hamilton Is Using Law, Faith, and Sisterhood to Lift the Next Generation

For Amber Hamilton Gregg, becoming a lawyer wasn’t just a career choice—it was a calling.

Long before the courtroom victories, leadership roles, and professional accolades, Amber says she knew exactly what she was meant to do. As a middle school student growing up in South Oak Cliff, she felt a clear sense of direction about her future.

“God told me I was going to be a lawyer,” she says.

That belief carried her forward as she enrolled in the Law Magnet program at Townview Magnet Center, one of Dallas’ most respected academic programs. It was there that the idea began to feel less like a dream and more like destiny.

Today, Amber serves as Senior Litigation House Counsel for a Fortune 500 company, but titles and accolades aren’t what motivate her. What drives her is something deeper—the opportunity to advocate for people during some of the most challenging moments of their lives.

“I was born to be an advocate and a justice seeker,” she says.

Over the years, Amber has built a career rooted in integrity, leadership, and service. Whether inside a corporate boardroom or in a courtroom, she approaches every challenge with the same principle: do what you say you’re going to do, and do it with excellence.

“Your work ethic and your integrity will follow you wherever you go,” she says. “Those two things open doors.”

But Amber’s impact stretches far beyond her legal practice. She has become a passionate mentor and advocate for the next generation of legal leaders, especially students who may not have grown up surrounded by lawyers or judges.

“I’ve only reached the level I’m at because people reached back to mentor me,” she says. “And I still have mentors today who guide me.”

That experience has shaped her commitment to creating access for others. Through mentorship, scholarships, and speaking engagements with students, Amber works to expose young people to possibilities that might not exist in their immediate circles.

“For many students who look like me, they don’t grow up with lawyers in their families,” she says. “So it’s important they see someone who looks like them doing this work.”

Her message to those students is simple but powerful: if she can do it, so can they.

That spirit of empowerment also lives at the heart of TestifiHER, an organization Amber co-founded to support young professional women through faith, mentorship, and sisterhood. Through the initiative, women gather to share their journeys, support one another, and grow spiritually and professionally.

For Amber, faith is the foundation that makes everything else possible.

“My faith is everything to me,” she says. “Without God, I wouldn’t be who I am today.”

She believes leadership isn’t just about career success—it’s about using your platform to uplift others. Whether she’s hosting women’s empowerment events, mentoring students, or speaking at schools, Amber is intentional about creating spaces where women can grow in confidence and purpose.

“I’ve helped create a pipeline to leadership in the legal community,” she says proudly. “And I love seeing the fruits of the seeds that were planted.”

Even as she balances the responsibilities of her career, her family, and her community work, Amber continues to return to the same mission: helping others see their potential.

For young women growing up in neighborhoods like South Oak Cliff, her advice is as bold as it is empowering.

“You are everything you think you are,” she says. “Look in the mirror every day and speak greatness over your life.”

Amber wants women to recognize their worth and walk into every room with confidence.

“You are a queen,” she says. “Take up all the space. Command the room you walk into and hold your head high.”

That confidence, she believes, is the first step toward building a life filled with purpose, leadership, and impact.

And when it comes to uplifting other women, Amber is quick to highlight those who inspire her along the way.

One woman she proudly #COSIGNs is attorney Marshay Iwu of Iwu & Associates. Not only is Marshay one of Amber’s closest friends, but she’s also someone Amber deeply respects both professionally and personally.

“She’s one of the hardest-working attorneys I know,” Amber says.

Beyond her legal accomplishments, Amber admires the way Marshay balances career, family, and leadership.

“She’s the epitome of motherhood, wife, and career woman all in one.”

Together, the two women collaborate through TestifiHER, supporting and encouraging women on their journeys.

For Amber, that kind of sisterhood is exactly what Women’s History Month is about—women building, supporting, and uplifting one another as they create lasting impact.

Because in Amber Hamilton Gregg’s world, success isn’t just about winning cases.

It’s about opening doors, planting seeds, and making sure the next generation of women knows they belong in every room they walk into.
