Beyond Skincare: Candee Skin’s Mission to Franchise and Inspire
In a world where skincare often feels one-size-fits-all, Candee Skin is reshaping the narrative by focusing on the unique needs of underrepresented communities. Founded with purpose and passion, the brand is more than just a skincare line—it’s a movement that combines education with innovation to empower customers. From overcoming challenges like brand awareness to crafting a vision for franchising across the DFW Metroplex, Candee Skin’s journey reflects resilience and dedication. In this COSIGN Q&A, we briefly chat with Candice Johnson, the visionary behind Candee Skin to explore the inspiration, science, and mission driving the brand’s success, while uncovering valuable insights into skincare and entrepreneurship.
What inspired you to start Candee Skin, and how did you identify the need for the products you offer?
My inspiration for starting Candee Skin was to serve communities that were underrepresented in the Skin Care Industry.
Our products are based on being in tune with our customers direct needs.
What were some of the biggest challenges you faced while building your brand, and how did you overcome them?
Awareness. Making sure our company is in the public eye the correct way and attract the right clientele.
Can you tell us about the unique ingredients and formulations in Candee Skin products that set them apart in the skincare industry?
Skincare science is pretty standard just like Medical. But what does set us apart is educating our customers.
What common skincare mistakes do you see people making, and how can they avoid them for healthier skin?
One of the common mistakes is not using SPF. SPF protects not only from sun damage but also helps with reducing hyperpigmentation and signs of aging.
Looking to the future, what are your goals for Candee Skin, and how do you see the brand evolving?
We’ve shown Candee Skin to be a viable business model, so our future goals is to evolve into a Franchise Model starting with Candee Skin taking over DFW Metroplex
Last but not least who do you #COSIGN? And do you remember the first person that co-signed you to help your business grow?
I COSIGN Ashley Hemphill owner of Beauty Kulture Beauty School of Desoto, TX. Ashley’s attention to detail in the needs of our future beauty professionals are impeccable. Her teaching style allows her graduates to be a well-rounded professional and not just pass State Board.
The first person that COSIGN Candee Skin was Will Bowen. He was the first client at the start of the business . He advocated for my business by offering to pay for other client services for their 1st Experience with our brand.
