Ravyn Lenae left her mark in Dallas at the Granada Theater. What was supposed to be an opening act for Jorja Smith turned into a headliner for the Chicago native as she swept the crowd into a vibe neo-soul and R&B. Unfortunately, Jorja Smith canceled her performance that night due to illness, and while many fans were left disappointed, Ravyn took the time to shine.

For those not familiar with Ravyn Lenae, the far South Side Chi-Town rapper has been signed with Atlantic since 2016. The young singer started her music career as a sophomore in high school and since has worked with names like Smino, Mick Jenkins, and Noname Gypsy. She has dropped several EPs with her latest release Crush available for digital download now.

Miss Ravyn’s vibe is experimental with elements of neo-soul, electro-jazz, and pop. Ravyn’s voice is blossoming into her own with hints of Erykah Badu, Andre 3000, and Kelela. Her voice has a great range covering classic neo-soul cuts while adding her young spirit. While her 2nd EP Midnight Moonlight gives a mellow tone, Crush livens up as Ravyn comes into her sound unapologetically. If you want a late-night vibe or upbeat soul, Ravyn Lenae should definitely be in your playlist. Be sure to check out Ravyn Lenae’s music on all streaming platforms.
Thank you Ravyn for giving Dallas a taste of your music and giving us a headlining show!
