Dallas Hip-Hop Artist Makes National Debut in Bud Light’s New Ad/Short Film | @Tru_Society
Tru Def is one of three artists from across the country to be highlighted in Bud Light’s newest “Up For Whatever” online commercial/short film.
After submitting a 15 second video on the “Bud Light Experience,” Tru Def (along with Austin-based DJ Viciouz Viv and Chicago-based improv comedian Morgan) was selected from thousands of video submissions.
The artists were flown to Catalina Island, Calif., a.k.a. “Whatever, USA,” for a secret surprise vacation curated by Bud Light. They party-hopped the entire weekend, partying with UFC Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey, T-Pain, Snoop Dogg, Diplo, DJ Jack Novak and controversial comedian, The Fat Jew, among other celebrities.
The weekend festivities became the “Up For Whatever” commercial/short film. Tru Def led thousands of fans in a “Whatever, USA” parade and on the last day of the trip, he hit the stage with Lil Jon and had his hit single “Do Me” played for concertgoers.
The theatrical cut will be released nationally at the beginning of July to run through September before 20 films in select Cinemark and Studio Movie Grill theaters.
Tru Def will also be performing Aug. 9 at COSIGN Magazine’s 4-Year Anniversary celebration, “The COSIGN Experience,” at Gas Monkey Live in Dallas. To purchase tickets, CLICK HERE.
