Despite the bi-polar Texas weather there is only one word that describes the Jambalaya festival that took place on Saturday May 25th, 2013 in Dallas……EPIC!! While driving to the event it was sunny and clear and once we reached 35 the storm hit. But, there was no way dedicated fans such as myself and the people of Dallas were missing the event. We reached the Palladium at 4:30 and the line was wrapped around the building. Majority of the event goers were rocking merchandise of their favorite artist.

The hometown heroes, A.Dd+, who were also featured on the cover of our latest issue, started Jambalaya off the only way they knew how…by killing it!!! A.Dd had the whole crowd locked in, waving their hands, and bouncing to their music. I’m pretty positive they gained a couple hundred new fans this evening. Our photographer #SayBrea was on stage to capture some of the moments while Myself (KG) and 2Low (our new videographer) were in the photo pit getting footage of the group.

Next up was Oak Cliff sensation, Dustin Cavazos. Dustin has great positive vibes that naturally attracts people to him which contstantly gains new supporters. One of the hightlight’s on Dustin’s set is when he brought out Slim Gravy from A.Dd+ to perform, “Alright.”

One point I want to make is that Big Boi had one of the illest light shows during his performance. It was very captivating and unique. He rocked all his songs from classic Outkast joints to some of his latest records.

The great thing about Jambalaya was that it was a perfect mix/blend hence the name. There were so many awesome performances and the crowd ate it all up. They got to jam with RL Grime, G-Eazy, Araab Muzik, Zeds Dead, and the headliners Earl Sweatshirt, and Tyler The Creator. There was never a dull moment at Jambalaya Festival especially from EARL WOLF! If you’ve attended to an Odd Future show then you know what to expect. If you’ve never been, then you should have went but you can view our photos to see what you missed. Earl and Tyler were very interactive with their fans. They rocked masks and costumes that the crowd threw on stage and even showcased a blanket or banner of some support on thier dj booth. Of course, Earl and Tyler have thier own mannerisms but they are still very appreciative of their supporters in their own way. lol

Last but not least we must give a HUGE shoutout to the awesome people at ScoreMore Shows. We truly appreciate the events you guys bring not only to Dallas but to the southern region. We are honored to be able to cover your events and look forward to many more in the future.
