Ten years of funfunfunfunfunfunfunfunfunfun! We had to say it ten times in honor of this year’s festival being the 10th year in a row of successfully having THE most fun festival in Austin, TX. Back in 2006, Austin, TX experienced the very first edition of FunFunFun, and this festival has only become better and better every year since. We have had the pleasure of covering a few years of this festival’s growth, and we can’t wait to see what’s in store for this year’s festival. Sure, we can look at the line-ups, we can see what’s going on at the FunFunFun Fest Nites performances, we can look at all the promo material we want and see what’s planned to happen, but sometime in life, you just have to be there. And this year, you’re just going to have to attend FunFunFun Fest and experience just how much fun this festival really is. With a number of stages supplying a vast array of genres of music, a number of headliners including D’Angelo & The Vanguard, Jane’s Addiction, CHVRCHES, and other performances from the likes of Schoolboy Q, Toro y Moi, Rae Sremmurd, & The Outfit, TX, you simply cannot miss this perfect anniversary celebration!
In honor of the 10th Year Anniversary, there are some pre-festival happenings taking place in Austin, TX to get everyone prepared. This year, FunFunFun Fest & Solstice Live have curated the “Freaky Future Roller Disco Party” to happen at the Austin Roller Rink. This will be a costume/dance party filled with interactive performances, music, and the first ever FunFunFun Fest Costume Contest! We encourage you to really get creative with your costume, due to the fact that if you have a great costume, you can win stuff! “Stuff” meaning free passes to FunFunFun Fest! The first 500 attendees will receive free rental on skates, so get there early! Tickets to this event will be $20 in advance, and $25 at the door. ALSO, if you’re a student and you’re tight on money, YOU’RE IN LUCK! FunFunFun Student Discount tickets went on sale earlier this morning! These tickets are very limited, but for all of you students, as well as military members, you can purchase tickets receiving a 20% discount for a 3 day pass. All you have to do is purchase online and bring you student/military ID when you pick up your tickets at Will Call.
