“Hype Society” is a play off the hype culture in fashion that has spawned from designers such Kanye West’s Yeezy line with Adidas and other brands such as Alexander Wang, OFF-White, Billionaire Boys Club, Supreme and Stussy. Even brands such as Fendi, Gucci and Louis Vuitton are releasing street wear lines specifically catered to this audience. The shows creator, local emcee Nick Whitener, known as “RAW Elementz” created the concept in an effort to launch his new clothing line “4Everfly” and realized there were an abundance of talented street wear designers in the city but a lack of platforms for them to showcase. Partnering with local PR company Creative Currency to produce the event, Whitener wants to highlight Dallas’s top local street wear designers while providing an experience for guests to embrace Dallas’s talented emerging street wear designers and it’s culture.

The designers included in the inaugural “Hype Society” fashion show include: 4Ever Fly, Windfall, MYHM, Smith II,Eddy Obstcl, Dream Catchers, Eletrik Cowboy, Flexaveli, ARS Sight, Flourich Brand. The event also includes an additional pop-up shop to allow guests to shop some of the looks that will be coming down the runway and other featured accessories designers and visual artists. Drink sponsors for the event include Deed Eddy Vodka and Red Bull as well as catering from chef Pete Hanna (@freechef2be).
