It’s been very slow at the Box Office so far this year. In recent years the month of February has been a time where movies have come out and made big splashes. Movies like “Get Out” in 2017 and “Black Panther” in 2018 have reshaped how studios view the top of the year. This year is a little different. It doesn’t really pick up until March where a slew of films will be released. Below you’ll find all the major releases coming out this year starting next month.

 

 

Captain Marvel

  • Release Date – March 8
  • Cast – Brie Larson, Jude Law, Samuel L. Jackson
  • Synopsis – Captain Marvel gets caught in the middle of a galactic war between two alien races.

 

Us

  • Release Date – March 15
  • Cast -Winston Duke, Lupita Nyong’o
  • Synopsis – A family’s serenity turns to chaos when a group of doppelgängers begins to terrorize them.

 

Dumbo

  • Release Date – March 29
  • Cast – Eva Green, Colin Farrell, Michael Keaton
  • Synopsis – A young elephant, whose oversized ears enable him to fly, helps save a struggling circus, but when the circus plans a new venture, Dumbo and his friends discover dark secrets beneath its shiny veneer.

 

Shazam

  • Release Date – April 5
  • Cast – Zachary Levi, Mark Strong, Djimon Hounsou
  • Synopsis – We all have a superhero inside us, it just takes a bit of magic to bring it out. In Billy Batson’s case, by shouting out one word – SHAZAM! – this streetwise 14-year-old foster kid can turn into the adult superhero Shazam.

 

Hellboy

  • Release Date – April 12
  • Cast – David Harbour, Milla Jovovich, Ian McShane
  • Synopsis – Based on the graphic novels by Mike Mignola, Hellboy, caught between the worlds of the supernatural and human, battles an ancient sorceress bent on revenge.

 

Avengers: Endgame

  • Release Date – April 26
  • Cast – Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Josh Brolin, Tom Holland, Scarlett Johansson
  • Synopsis – After the devastating events of Avengers: Infinity War (2018), the universe is in ruins. With the help of remaining allies, the Avengers assemble once more in order to undo Thanos’ actions and restore order to the universe.

 

Pokémon: Detective Pikachu

  • Release Date – May 10
  • Cast – Ryan Reynolds, Justice Smith
  • Synopsis – In a world where people collect Pokémon to do battle, a boy comes across an intelligent talking Pikachu who seeks to be a detective.

 

John Wick: Chapter 3

  • Release Date – May 17
  • Cast – Keanu Reeves, Halle Berry
  • Synopsis – Super-Assassin John Wick (Keanu Reeves) is on the run after killing a member of the international assassin’s guild, and with a $14 million price tag on his head – he is the target of hit men and women everywhere.

 

Rocketman

  • Release Date – May 17
  • Cast – Taron Egerton, Bryce Dallas Howard
  • Synopsis – A musical fantasy about the uncensored human story of Elton John’s breakthrough years.

 

Aladdin

  • Release Date – May 24
  • Cast – Billy Magnussen, Will Smith, Naomi Scott
  • Synopsis – A live-action retelling of the 1992 Disney film of the same name.

 

Godzilla: King of the Monsters

  • Release Date – May 31
  • Cast – Millie Bobby Brown, Vera Farmiga, Kyle Chandler, Ken Watanabe, O’Shea Jackson Jr.
  • Synopsis – The crypto-zoological agency Monarch faces off against a battery of god-sized monsters, including the mighty Godzilla, who collides with Mothra, Rodan, and his ultimate nemesis, the three-headed King Ghidorah.

 

X-Men: Dark Phoenix

  • Release Date – June 7
  • Cast – Sophie Turner, James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Jessica Chastain, Nicholas Hoult, Michael Fassbender
  • Synopsis – Jean Grey begins to develop incredible powers that corrupt and turn her into a Dark Phoenix. Now the X-Men will have to decide if the life of a team member is worth more than all the people living in the world.

 

Men In Black: International

  • Release Date – June 14
  • Cast – Chris Hemsworth, Tessa Thompson, Liam Neeson
  • Synopsis – The Men in Black have always protected the Earth from the scum of the universe. In this new adventure, they tackle their biggest threat to date: a mole in the Men in Black organization.

 

Toy Story 4

  • Release Date – June 21
  • Cast – Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Keanu Reeves, Jordan Peele, Keegan-Michael Key, Joan Cusack, Patricia Arquette
  • Synopsis – When a new toy called “Forky” joins Woody and the gang, a road trip alongside old and new friends reveals how big the world can be for a toy.

 

Spider-Man: Far From Home

  • Release Date – July 5

  • Synopsis – Peter Parker and his friends go on summer vacation to Europe, where Peter finds himself trying to save his friends against a villain known as Mysterio.

 

The Lion King

  • Release Date – July 19
  • Cast – Donald Glover, Beyonce Knowles, James Earl Jones, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Alfre Woodard, Seth Rogen, Billy Eichner, 
  • Synopsis – CGI re-imagining of the 1994 Disney classic.

 

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood

  • Release Date – July 26
  • Cast – Margot Robbie, Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, Dakota Fanning, Al Pacino
  • Synopsis – A faded TV actor and his stunt double strive to achieve fame and success in the film industry during the final years of the Hollywood Golden Age in 1969 Los Angeles.

 

Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs and Shaw

  • Release Date – August 2
  • Cast – Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Jason Statham, Idris Elba
  • Synopsis – Lawman Luke Hobbs and outcast Deckard Shaw form an unlikely alliance when a cyber-genetically enhanced villain threatens the future of humanity.

 

X-Men: The New Mutants
