Beauty & The Beach
Have you ever seen a mermaid walk the runway?..Well, you missed your opportunity to by not attending the #BeautyAndTheBeach Fashion Show this past Wednesday at Sisu Resort in Uptown Dallas. The venue itself, gave off the perfect summer time vibe, with the runway being poolside and lofty cabanas lined up in the backdrop.
The dream team behind this beach chic production are Bask Boutique (@baskboutique*), a full service, speciality boutique located here, in Dallas and in Austin; Missouri based, Rodi Boutique (@rodiboutique*), looking to expand to the Dallas area in the near future; and last but not least, Mermaid Hair Extensions (@mermaidhairxo*), which can be purchased and installed at Studio 1514 in Downtown Dallas on Commerce.
In the show, Bask Boutique displayed 27 looks including active wear, designer swimwear, such as Honey Bee Swim (@honeybeeswim*) and Beach Bunny Swimwear (@beachbunnyswimwear) along with some the exclusive accessories that they carry in the boutique as well. Rodi Boutique, whose mission is to carry the latest fashions at an affordable price, laced the models in their newest trends, like stylish rompers and cute cover-ups.
Speaking of models, these ladies were gorgeous, they all looked like they flew off the pages of a fitness magazine and we all know wherever there are fierce models, that there is an even fiercer glam squad behind them. Make up was handled by Dallas based, free lance MUA, Lisa Marie (@makeupbylisamariexox*). All the models were provided with the fabulous, Mermaid Hair Extensions (@mermaidhairxo*) by hairstylist Katie Rogers. Katie specializes in thick, Texas hair and can transform any girl into a beautiful mermaid.
Each element of the runway presentation was carefully thought out and it showed during show time. From the music, to the goody bags, the overall experience was elegant but still entertaining. Congrats to all parties involved in putting the show together, for showcasing all of those summer fashions and to the models for having fun and doing a great job on the runway.
