Dallas Skyline 3

You know the feeling you get when you just can’t get out of bed, but you do because there is only one day left until the weekend? Yea that was me this morning. It’s all good though because tomorrow is Friday and the weather is going to be on point this weekend! (Woop-woop).  There is a lot going down and the big issue 11 release party of Cosign Mag is this Saturday! Be prepared to throw on your sexiest outfit and hang out with all of us from Cosign Magazine!

Wine Walk in Deep Ellum

Every 3rd Thursday all of the fun businesses on Main Street in Deep Ellum open their doors  Wine Walk. It’s perfect for people who enjoy art and wine aka me. For $5 you get a neatly designed wine glass which is topped off at every stop through the neighborhood’s stores and galleries. Starts off at Kettle Art Gallery (2650-B Main St.) at 5 p.m. Thursday. For more information and a list of participating shops, visit Deep Ellum’s Facebook page.

Nipsey Hussle @ Prophet Bar

Yes. Nipsey will be in Dallas this Friday. Nipsey has been a star within the rap community with his west coast persona that is slowly helping him gain a claim to fame. His latest album, Mailbox Money, was released on New Year’s Eve, and with a plethora of mixtapes and a high fan-base out here in Dallas I’m sure the show will not disappoint. A ticket available at the door and the show starts at 8!

Records Collecting Dust

This may be one of the coolest things I’ve seen yet! If you know me, you know I’m a vinyl fanatic. The popularity of vinyl records continues to increase (as if they ever went out of style) and there are many documentaries that have been focused, on records and record collecting culture. The most recent example is Records Collecting Dust: a documentary film about the music and records that changed our lives. The film by Jason Blackmore is based on the relationships, community and passion of record collecting by looking at the collections and origins of over thirty underground musicians, including Keith Morris (Black Flag, OFF!), Jello Biafra (Dead Kennedys) and Chuck Dukowski (Black Flag). The screening starts at 8:00 pm at Oak Cliff’s Kessler. This is something special I highly suggest you attend.

DALLAS COMIC CON FAN DAYS

Oh no! As if Marvel Experience wasn’t enough Dallas Comic Con is here this weekend. *faints.* Dallas Comic Con Fan Days presented by FAN EXPO is back in North Texas. Dallas Comic Con Fan Days brings together the worlds of comics, sci-fi, horror, anime and gaming in one pop culture convention at the Irving Convention Center. Meet the stars of your favorite films and TV shows, shop aisles packed with all the latest geek gear, hunt for your favorite classic comic books, and take pictures with fans dressed as favorite characters. I just need to meet Yoda then life is complete. Ticket start at 5 dollars and the event runs through Sunday!
