Reigning from a little part of Splashtown is Sauce Miyagi the official engineer of The Sauce Factory. The Sauce Factory is rapper collective that includes Sauce Walka, Sancho, Rizzoo Rizzoo, Sosamann and more. Following in his Dad’s footsteps in the music industry, Miyagi has built a resume of extraordinary credentials. He has engineered music for everyone from Migos, Wiz Khalifa, Meek Mill, Letoya Luckett, 21 Savage, Lil Uzi Vert, Jim Jones to even Ms. Joyce Walkins inviting Miyagi to mix a song for CNN.
Miyagi has been infatuated with his craft since forever. At 13, his Dad would bring Miyagi along to his gigs at 21 and up clubs in Houston, TX. But, instead of his Dad, Miyagi would hop behind the DJ booth while his Dad partied in the crowd.
Social media has been very helpful for Miyagi as far marketing. “Most people don’t go searching for producers or engineers to do their music anymore because the internet has given everyone the power to do it themselves.” Says Miyagi. He markets himself as someone you need to work with to become successful. Dealing with artists who have never been studio or get their beats off Youtube, he just wants artist to have high-quality untagged beats.
Sauce Miyagi accomplished one of his many goals in December to move to LA. Now that is accomplished he wants to continue to build his skills and connections in the industry until he can eventually own his own recording studio, record label & distribution company.
“I want what I do to be known, but I don’t want to solely take credit for it. I want people to remember me as a helper not a legend or the greatest. All you give is all you get, so you have to give it all you got.”
I #COSIGN Sauce Miyagi because of how much sauce he engineers into the music industry. Drip. Drip. SPLASH!
